We had a great time celebrating Chloe's 2nd birthday on Saturday...Many friends and family members were able to come and make her party a very special time...I write this post with tears of joy in my eyes as I look back on the past 2 years of our lives..A baby brings so many changes to the home, but we have enjoyed every stage of Chloe's life..The Lord has taught us so many things through her and we are excited to see what the Lord has for her in the coming years...She is starting to talk so much and singing songs about Jesus that she has learned...She loves music and loves her babies..She is very girley and that makes Mommy very happy (and Daddy too!)..She rarely is caught without a baby, a purse, and her sunglasses....Recently we have been praying ALOT about her very strong will..She can be very hard hearted and it grieves our hearts...I'm sure much like it grieves our Savior's heart when we are disobedient...Our prayer is that she will be saved at a young age and that she will see the great joy in serving the Lord all the days of her life...We pray that she will see John and I serve the Lord with that same gladness....Enjoy the pics!

The Lord truly blessed the 2009 6th Anniversary Bible Conference at the Heritage Baptist Church in Lafollette, TN...Dr. Tom Wallace and Dr. Frank Gagliano came to be with us and had outstanding messages from God's Word each night of the services...I have many pictures to share and also some some very sweet messages for our dear Pastor who is still at home recovering and could not be with us for the conference...We love you so very much, Pastor and are praying fervently for a full and speedy recovery...We hope these messages are a blessing to you and your family..Mrs. Ward, we are also praying for strength and grace for you as you care for your husband...We love you both very much! Thank you to the Wallace family and also to the Gagliano family for coming..The Lord used your messages in a mighty way in my own heart and life...The Lord used you both to encourage our church in a great way.

Chloe and I had a great trip to Georgia for Jake's Kindergarten Graduation! The weather was beautiful and Chloe slept most of the way...I did have to hold her hand until about Chatanooga..Some may think I am a pushover, but the whining just grates on my nerves and I didn't mind that I almost dislocated my shoulder in the process because I had sweet peace and quiet....Anyway, the graduation was such a blessing! I could not wait to get home and tell John all about it...Growing up in a public school, this is all very foreign to me and I was just praising the Lord for the opportunity that Chloe will have to attend a good Christian school because John and I both have a deep conviction about Christian education..The things they had learned and memorized were amazing...I could go on and on and I am not saying that I did not get a great education in the public school that I attended, but that was a while back ( not going to say how long, but long enough :) ) and the Lord very much protected me during that time and they were not teaching and propagating what they are now...I am just thankful for all that Chloe will glean from attending a Christian School. We also got to see our favorite Pop as he came for the big night too! Auntie Carla, Uncle Trevor, Mark, Jake, Allie also got to come to our house for a few days last week..We loved having them here and hope they had a great time..Got a few pics, but my camera was on a weird setting so they look kind of funny! Hope you all have a great week!

May definitely got away from us this year...We have a sweet baby that is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we are praying that the Lord will give us another child to rear here on earth for His honor and glory in His sweet timing....The Lord has been very gracious to us and Heaven has become much sweeter in these past days....I had a bittersweet Mother's Day this year, but the Lord was very good to me and blessed me with a wonderful day with my wonderful husband and sweet Chloe Abigail..We also had Pappy and Grammy visiting and got have lunch with them on Sunday at Auntie Heidi and Uncle Trevor's house....Also went to the Bounce House with the Dampf's' for Chloe's very first time and she LOVED it...Taking Daddy next time...I was the one hauling her up the huge slide each time! Chloe also had her first haircut this month by our sweet friend April Lindsay..She gave us the royal treatment by coming to the house and Chloe did great..You will notice I did bribe her with some Smarties, but who cares??..It worked and she sat still and her was cut evenly..Hope all my favorite Mommies and Mommies-To-Be had a wonderful Mother's Day too!

We had the opportunity to visit the Creation Museum in Kentucky on this past Saturday with our youth group...We had a wonderful time and recommend a visit to all families we know..They really make it interactive..Even Chloe had a great time! God really blessed and gave us a beautiful day and lots of wonderful Christian fellowship!

We had a great day celebrating the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ yesterday....I was able to get some really great pics and also snapped a few at the Cracker Barrel while we were waiting to be seated....The weather was beautiful!...We spent the day at the church so Cracker Barrel made our Easter dinner this year...I did buy a roast, but will probably make it later in the week....Also took some videos when Auntie Heidi brought over Chloe's Easter basket. John and I had the opportunity to get away, just the 2 of us , for the Couples' Retreat in Gatlinburg. I have liked to the web site, because they have the messages posted right now, if you are interested. We had a wonderful time and the Lord really used the meetings to speak to our hearts and to draw us closer to Him and to each other..The Lord always uses the wives of the speakers to stir my heart to be a better wife and mother..The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful husband that loves the Lord and loves his family and for this I am extremely grateful. The Lord has increased my faith so much over this past year, and we thank Him for His faithfulness in meeting our every need.

Thank you to Pappy & Grammy for staying with Chloe..I know she had a great time...Included some of the videos they shot over the weekend. I know our Big Cousins will love these! We love you Mark, Jake and Allie!

We had a great weekend...John and I had a date on Friday night to the Stir Fry Cafe..We loved it! Auntie Heidi and Uncle Trevor had a little "date night" with Chloe...Thank you so much for being willing. On Saturday I tried a recipe I saw on Martha's show on Tuesday..I don't tune in as much anymore because of her stupid liberal agenda she seems to be promoting and almost pushing on her viewers...Anyway, I'll get off my soap box, but just in case she ever stumbles upon my blog...I wish you would just get back to cooking and crafting!

I hope you enjoy the pic of the love bug cookies, that was the Valentine recipe on Tuesday's show, and I thought they turned out adorable! Well, I hope everybody else had a great weekend, we are loving this weather! Have a great week!

What a fun morning we have had here in Tennessee....When we first got up it was kind of just flurrying here and there, but then it really started to pick up, so of course like any other Tennesseeans who hardly ever get the chance to see snow, Chloe and I suited up (mostly her) and went out to play...She had a blast and even got to see her favorite dog Benji! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Pennsylvania with my parents..We got in about 3:30am Thursday and Chloe, after sleeping about 6 hours, was ready for the day...We, on the other hand were not, so she stayed up to play with Grammy and Pappy while John and I got in the bed..My mom got out alot of our toys we played with growing up and Chloe loved it! It brought back alot of wonderful Christmas memories of special toys that I had asked for. Thanksgiving day we ate and relaxed. A very nice change from what we have been used to in these past weeks...My Mom, as usual, made a delicious dinner! John and I ventured out on Black Friday for a date (Grammy & Pappy offered to babysit - Yeah!..We really didn't have to twist their arm :))...We found great deals on many gifts we needed to buy and also found Chloe a beautiful red coat (One of the main reasons for going - It is going to be a cold winter in Tennessee compared to last year.)..We headed back to Tennessee on Saturday...All in all, it was a good trip! Thank you Pappy & Grammy for the yummy food and the wonderful hospitality! John and I are well rested thanks to you!

We had our annual trip to Dollywood to see the Christmas lights..We had a great time once we got there...The trip down there left a lot to be desired (Chloe screamed the whole way! I thought John was going to kill her, She really knows how to push our buttons!..Oh, what family fun!).. Chloe had to spend the night in the stroller, because we lost one of her shoes..We get to the tram and realize she has no shoes, so John goes back to get the shoes ( while the man driving waited..they were so kind!), we thought were in the van...They weren't there! We found one in the stroller, but the other one has still not shown up, after multiple calls to the Dollywood lost and found..They probably wish I would stop calling...I loved those shoes..Oh well, I always wondered how people could lose one shoe when I would see on just laying there, but now I know...Just another story for the books...Unfortunately, she couldn't get out and walk around..I need to start packing an extra pair of shoes..Lesson learned....Enjoy the pics!

I am once again posting on Tuesday....

Outside My Window...is a beautiful, sunny day!

I am thinking...about packing for our trip to Pa! Also thinking about John and he has many things to accomplish before our trip.

I am thankful for...God's faithfulness to our family..Also His provision for our needs throughout this year!

From the learning rooms..We had a Dr. Tom Wallace to our church for the services this past Sunday and he spoke about stewardship..God's Word emphasizes our responsibility to give to our local church..John and I very much want to be good steward's of what the Lord has blessed us with and also to be a channel through which God can work! We also want to teach Chloe that the Lord is the owner of all that we are given.

From the kitchen...not a lot of action..We are trying to empty the fridge before leaving town, so we will be feasting on leftovers tonight!

I am wearing...comfy clothes..For once not my pajamas!

I am going...to start packing for the trip and organizing everything that needs to go with us.

I am reading...my new Better Homes and Gardens.

I am hoping...Chloe travels well on the trip..Pray with us about that!

I am hearing..Nothing! Chloe is napping!

Around the house...everything is finally in its place from the weekend..I like to have a clean house, so that when we get home everything is neat.

One of my favorite things...family time! Sunday evening we just cozied up on the couch and played with Chloe.

Outside My Window...are beautiful, sunny skies..It is much warmer today!

I am thankful for...a day to be at home and get all my housework finished.

From the learning rooms...we (by that I mean Chloe) are learning to obey right away!

From the kitchen...loaded baked potato soup - one of my favorite winter meals.

I am wearing...as always, my pjs.

I am creating...more room in Chloe's bedroom..finally getting her clothes packed up to make room for those she has that still fit and also to make room for the new ones she will receive!

I am going...to spend quality time with my Hubby tonight! Yeah! Chloe is already in bed!

I am reading...haven't had much time for personal reading, but I have been reading to Chloe..She loves to bring us a book and plop down on our laps, actually she just backs up and sits down, it's sooo cute!..We have been concentrating on "Good Night Moon" and her Strawberry Shortcake book..I am glad that she loves books.

I am hoping...that Chloe becomes a better traveling companion very very soon..We are about to embark on that time of year when we spend mucho time in the car!

I am hearing...the television...Too bad there is never anything good to watch.

Around the house...the house is finally clean! After an all-day marathon of cleaning and laundry.

One of my favorite things...Watching Chloe with her first lollipop from the bank... you would have thought I gave her the greatest thing..She only licked it like 3 times..It was more fun to touch and get on her clothes and everything around her.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Errands tomorrow, Wednesday is Baby Bookworms at the Library and Church, Thursday is playgroup and a playdate at the Benders', Friday rest!, Saturday, work for me, visitation for John & Chloe.

Today we honor all those that have so valiantly served our country through the armed services...Chloe is blessed with an heritage that includes many of these faithful men and we are so very thankful..It is so important to teach our children to give honor and respect to those that have bravely fought for our freedom that we freely take for granted..Thank you Pappy, Pop, Granddad, Chloe's other Great Grandfather ( my Pappy :) ), who is now with the Lord, and many others who were and are ready to sacrifice their lives for ours and many other Americans..We love you! May John and I do our very best to instill patriotism in our children! And as always, we must think of the One who made the greatest sacrifice for us..Our Heavenly Father who sent His only Son, Jesus Christ who was willing to die for my sin and yours also...We have a wonderful Savior!

It seems as if I never have the time to do this on Mondays...So I will do it today...
Outside My Window...are very cloudy skies..It almost looks like it could snow!

I am thinking...about the carpets..A friend of John's is coming to clean them today and I am praising the Lord because they sure do need a good cleaning!

I am thankful for...healthy family, both immediate and extended..The Lord has blessed John, Chloe, and I with good health this fall and we are very grateful..Chloe also had a wonderful 15-month check-up and did very well with the shots she received and we had prayed much over them.

From the learning rooms...I am not sure what exactly she wants us to put here, but I have been learning so much about having faith lately, the Lord has used our Pastor's messages and our Sunday school lessons to speak to my heart...This is a time for Christians to really express their faith in the Lord by looking unto Jesus and not to our circumstances and especially not to our government...The Lord has been so good to John and I as we stepped out in faith to start this business...He has met our needs each step of the way and we praise Him for it!

From the kitchen...There is stuff EVERYWHERE! I had to get as many things off the carpets as possible..So our belongings have accumulated there..Later I will have to meander through there to make lunch for Chloe

I am wearing...comfy pajamas ( I do wear clothes, but it always seems I am in my pj's when it is time to blog)...Haven't gotten dressed yet, but I have showered! Still enjoying my morning coffee (yummy!)

I am going...no where today! I love days like this, they don't happen very often.

I am reading...a devotional Bible that has you reading through the entire Word of God in 1 year..I am a little behind so I need to catch up on that while Chloe is asleep.

I am hoping...that John has a profitable day, as he is finishing a job today and also that my parents would have safe travels as they head this way..Also for Trevor to heal quickly from his head injury.

I am hearing...Peace and Quiet!..My little one is asleep..Yeah! Love her dearly, but need a small break.

Around the house...Disorder!..Thankful that we have what we need...Thinking about what needs to go :)

One of my favorite things...getting Chloe from her crib in the morning and after naps! She is always in a great mood..If I am able to get to her in what she thinks is a suitable amount of time..She always has out-stretched arms, ready to be hugged and loved on..She usually then calls for her Da-Da and I then explain he is at work and we move on with the day.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:My parents are coming on Wednesday evening, Chloe has play group on Thursday, I am working on Friday, and we are going to Dollywood on Saturday...Lots of fun..Hope you all have a great week!

We had a wonderful weekend with the Harvest Baptist Church in Acworth, Georgia! Our family and the Newloves left Friday night and had an enjoyable ride (after Chloe went to sleep - she loathes her carseat). We stayed with Jared's parents, who took great care of us while we were there. Saturday we spent the day knocking doors and we went to Jared's sister Tanya's house for dinner, which was delicious! Sunday, some of us got an extra hour of sleep...Chloe opted not to take it , she thought it would be fun to get up at 2:30am, which was really 1:30, and then we were up many times after that..It is so hard on their little bodies and just gets them all out of whack..Anyway, all that to say, I was very tired on Sunday..Thank the Lord for coffee! We had a wonderful day! Many were saved and they had many visit the church for the first time..I had the opportunity to lead a little girl named Natalia to the Lord...Please pray that she will grow spiritually and be faithful to the church services. Pastor Reed preached a wonderful sermon on Sunday night about taking risks for God..We all need to hear that as it is so easy to get comfortable where you are, without continuing to advance for the Lord...We headed back on Monday after breakfast with John's mom at the Cracker Barrel..Thank you Honey, it was delicious..We had a wonderful trip home and praise the Lord for all of his traveling mercies to us (once again Chloe slept the whole way!). I got everything unloaded and put away while John went to work...Chloe retired to her crib about 6:50! I couldn't believe it, but it was very nice...Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Outside My Window...was highway for a lot of the day..We traveled this weekend to be at Harvest Baptist Church in Acworth, Georgia..They had Friend Day on Sunday and John had the opportunity to preach to the children who came on the buses...What a blessing! We had about 578 total on the campus..The Lord did great things and we had many saved!

I am thinking...about all the unpacking I have to do...John had to go and prepare a job he starts tomorrow..So I am going to start the laundry..Also thinking about how wonderful it will be to sleep in my own bed tonight, but so grateful to the Newlove family for their wonderful hospitality!

I am thankful for...Home and my bed! (Chloe echoes this praise) I love to travel, but I love to come home..Also thankful for all of the wonderful Christian friendships the Lord has allowed us to make and the opportunity to see old friends.

From the kitchen...Not much activity, but is clean...We are doing left overs for supper...Yeah!

I am wearing...my pajamas. (So is Chloe:))

I am creating...this new post..Too tired to think about anything else.

I am going...to relax and do a little web surfing for my sister-in-law's registry for her sweet baby girl when Chloe goes to bed and also fix my husband some dinner when he gets home.

I am reading...my new Better Homes and Gardens and my new cooking magazine.

I am hoping...that Chloe gets a good night's rest and that my husband can vote tomorrow without much trouble. Also praying Chloe's doctor appointment goes well.

I am hearing...QVC..They are featuring Vera Bradley stuff and I am half listening/half watching.

Around the house...everything is finally getting in its place from the trip and my laundry is all in one place.

One of my favorite things...is a little time to my self in the evening to just unwind with my husband and have a little alone time.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Chloe has her 15-month appointment tomorrow and I have several car appointments to get the car in shape for all of our holiday travel (Yeah!)...We have story time on Wednesday and play group on Thursday...Friday, we will probably just rest.

Today is a sad and happpy day...Sad, because Olivia and Michelle (and Phillip too!) are moving to Virginia, happy because they are following the Lord to be a part of a wonderful church that is there. We had our last play date on Tuesday..The girls are just getting to a fun age where they interact a little more with each other..I've included pictures from other times together too! We love you and will miss you so very much! Thank you for your friendship, Michelle, you have been such a blessing to me...It's been so fun to share so many of their "firsts" with each other. A few weeks ago John, Chloe, and I had the opportunity to attend the World Mission Conference Banquet at Temple Baptist Church..It was a great time of fellowship with many friends we have not seen in a few months..We had some time to catch up and share stories about what was going on in all of our lives..John and I are so thankful for the couples that God has placed in our lives. It is such an encouragement to spend time with them.

Chloe and I also had the opportunity to visit the Village set up on the college campus..She had a blast! I don't know why I doubted that she would have a good time..It had everything she looks for in fun: Freedom (the main thing), lots of other children, exciting things to look at and mainly to touch, and a Really fun slide! Thanks to my sister and the Helget girls for helping with Chloe! Thanks to Isabella for helping her to get all of her stamps! Yeah! Thanks to Uncle Trevor for braving the slide with Chloe....Enjoy the pics...my personal favorite is her just having a seat to look through the passport. Aunt Heidi said that once she knew that the workers would stamp her book, she was ready to give it to them as soon as she saw the stamper..How do they get so smart?

My parents were in town over the weekend and had the opportunity to take Chloe to her play group on Thursday morning....They had a blast! This was her first time to attend and they said it was wonderful..She got to see a few of the friends she has made from storytime at the library. They did all kinds of neat activities and sent my parents home with a notebook with songs sheets and a CD of the songs they sing and will be singing in the coming weeks..I am looking forward to taking her again this Thursday...She also got to go to the play area at the mall, which is one of her new favorite things to do now that she is a big time walker...Pappy got some pictures of her with a new friend she made that day..Enjoy the pictures!

I have been tagged by Jenny

1. I first visited the great state of Tennessee in 2003 for a the Bible Conference at Temple Baptist Church..Had never heard of Powell and certainly had no reason to move here, but the Lord had other plans. While here the Lord really spoke to my heart about moving here and being a part of this wonderful church..So I found a job, convinced my sister to to move, WE packed our bags, and U-Hauled to Knoxville...And the rest is history....The Lord has given us both wonderful, Godly husbands and John and I have beautiful, wonderful Chloe!

2. I am a pharmacist..I did not graduate from a Christian College...I went to Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa..I did take a year off in the middle of my schooling, because the Lord prompted me to do so...At that time I attended Northland Baptist Bible Colllege in Dunbar, WI..The Lord saved me there and really spoke to me my heart and gave me the desire to marry a pastor..I really wanted to stay, but my parents and I knew that I needed to finish my degree at Duquesne..The Lord gave me a wonderful elderly couple to live with that attended my church there and they became like family to us...Thank the Lord for couples like Heinrich and Bonnie Lohmeyer who were willing to open their home to encourage a young Christian lady.

3. I met my husband, John, in our singles Sunday school class...This is where John's memory gets a little blurry, he remembers ME following him around, that's not exactly how it happened...In all honesty, we became friends and this friendship grew into a beautiful romance that has now become a wonderful marriage! He actually remembered seeing me when I visited for the first time! The Lord has such a wonderful plan for all of our lives if we will just let him lead us! I really want to instill this in Chloe as she grows up in our home.

4. Our first date was a Memorial Day hiking trip to the Smokies along with some other friends. He first told me he loved me at the laundry mat on Merchants Road..He really wanted it to be somewhere romantic, but he just couldn't wait any longer to tell me..Oh, I just love him!

5. We were engaged in New York City on December 11th, 2004...It was a dream of mine, not something I had to have, but it was very sweet and very romantic and we have beautiful pictures to show Chloe when she becomes interested in that sort of thing.

6. My husband and I are currently working at Heritage Baptist Church in LaFollette, TN. Fred Ward is the Pastor and his lovely wife is Rita..We are enjoying it so much and just love the sweet spirit of the people there..Pastor has been such a help and encouragement to us..We have learned so much. We are so thankful to the Lord for Pastor Sexton and Pastor Ward and the influence they have had upon our lives. Also for the wonderful parents the Lord has allowed us to have that have encouraged us to serve the Lord.

7. I love driving a minivan! My husband just recently asked me what my dream car is...I really had no answer...Maybe it is because right now and until all of our children have graduated from those beloved carseats, I am going to be driving my Honda Odyssey, which I absolutely love..So I may have an answer for him when I see the light at the end of the child-rearing tunnel..until then I am content..The van is somewhat growing on my husband, but he does have his truck!

Although we have no pets of our own, we sure do enjoy playing with the dogs and cats of others...Benji is the dog that lives across the street...By the way, Chloe can already say his name (but does not say Ma Ma) and she knows where he lives..Roxie and Elijah are Auntie Heidi and Uncle Trevor's cats...She also loves to spend time with them, they just don't really enjoy her that much. They only posed for the pictures because Heidi was giving them treats. Benji, on the other hand, is kind of indifferent about Chloe..He just puts up with her.

I have seen this on some other blogs...I decided to give it a try.

Outside My Window..I can see the deck has an empty place where Chloe's pool resided for the summer months..This reminds me of all the special memories we had and how much she has grown...Now that summer has come to an end, I am looking forward to a beautiful fall here in Tennessee.

I am thinking about... My husband and praying that he has had a profitable day..He had many tasks to accomplish and I am also thinking about my eye, it has been infected for a while and I am still debating about going to the Doctor...Health professionals are the worst at seeking treatment for themselves.

I am thankful for...my beautiful family that the Lord has given me and for the opportunity to have some family time this evening.

From the kitchen...the dinner dishes are calling me, but they can wait..I actually get to have a little time with my Hubby! You can also still smell the Brownies I made for dessert..Yummy!

I am hoping...that Chloe gets a good night's rest, because we are planning to attend a play-group tomorrow.

I am hearing...the television ( I am watching the Duggar Family, who by the way, are AMAZING! I personally do not believe the Lord has called me to have 18 or more children, but she and her husband do a great job)...They are in Tennessee during this episode and have visited Dollywood and the Dixie Stampede!

Around the house...things are a little cluttered, but it reminds me that my family is home with me:)

One of my favorite things...is watching Chloe greet her Daddy with open uplifted arms at the door when he comes home from work and wait patiently as he finishes taking his shower. Oh, how important fathers are in the home.

I'm very excited about this new adventure..So many of our friends have entered the world of blogging and I have wanted to try it for myself for so long now after enjoying their beautiful sites..So here goes..We had a great end to the week, in spite of my eye thing that I have acquired..I don't know exactly where it came from..I am leaning toward the picture place I took Chloe to on Thursday...I think I was working as hard as the photographer to get the child to smile..Anyway, I had my hands on all kinds of stuffed animals, balls, this feather thing..Needless to say, my calling is not professional photography, especially not with children. I was exhausted by the end..I have a new appreciation for pictures that people show me of smiling children, because it does not always magically happen when they are taking the pictures.

Friday, Chloe and I went to the symphony at the Library..Very fun and she did very well..I was very nervous because the door was in such a place that any unexpected meltdowns would make it very difficult to exit without interrupting the show, but thank the Lord she had a great time and enjoyed the show, especially the faster selections..She also made time to meet and greet the other children and parents that attended...My daughter is unusually comfortable with strangers!

We had a chance to go to the Foot Hills Festival on Saturday with Aunt Heidi and it was very fun! They had a lot of fun things for kids and Daddy enjoyed the kettle corn and this chicken on a stick..The girls had corn dogs, Yummy!..Chloe had a blast and really just enjoyed being around the other children and of course, her Auntie Heidi! I just wish it had been more Fall -like..It was very warm, Chloe didn't get to wear her cute little harvest shirt, but she did get to sport her pumpkin barretts! Hope you all had a great weekend!
